About the Author

Gary Phaine is an independent author with a deep love for Westerns in all forms—films, TV classics, and timeless frontier literature. Fascinated by folklore and legends since childhood, he began weaving those old tales together with elements of horror and the supernatural. His debut, Wilderness of Sorrows, launches the Untold Tales of the Old West series—standalone stories that will eventually connect into an epic, long-planned finale. When he’s not writing, Gary enjoys treasure hunting at antique shops, exploring local history, and diving into the Western stories and legendary tales that continue to inspire his imagination.
